In 6 seconds, I think Mr. Brian Pau has demonstrated the inevitable 2nd bubble coming down the pike. The amount of absolute nonsense that has been sold and perpetuated without any quantification is absolutely staggering, and there’s going to be some moment we all wake up and realize we probably don’t want to have a relationship with a bag of potatoes, and no one needs to follow the marketing feed stream of a showerhead company. And no disrespect.. their marketing is okay. I’m not even that skeptical about the veracity of most user generated reviews, but on twitter… how many followers of brands are *really* real people? I know I have a bunch of anon, spam, rss, bots following me….

As for relationships with companies, even for people who order FF&E or OS&E don’t want that close of a relationship. My relationship is with Tom or Dora in shipping, not your marketing arm that is convincing everyone to add twitter and instagram because “THAT IS WHAT EVERYONE IS DOING”. We just want people who can answer a question. Phone numbers still work, and they will work for a long time to come. That market is going to correct itself… Silicon Valley is bloated, and marketing agencies justifying their own existence is a dying business model.

6 seconds of your time. Such a simple and concise idea: Do you want a social relationship with a bag of potatoes?

One palmface of a brutal awakening. Tread carefully, gentle people.
