Frankly… I am a fiscal conservative and whacko social liberal. My personal beliefs are even sort of conservative in some instances, but who’s right is it to regulate a stranger? Just because I believe one thing doesn’t mean I can really tell others, you know? So… we move on to the pertinent question. Who ya votin’ fo?

you could always go here…

But I think it says I should vote for an 85 year old Alaskan.

Anyhoo…. here is what I think:

Ron Paul is down the line Constitution… that is his whole platform. Therefore, interesting but wildly weak.

**Oh yeah**  My friend reminded me that he is a completely ammoral nutjob potential racist.  I don’t care what you say, but the issue with this guy is *excitingly* actually black and white.  That so rarely happens.  Racist gives you dough… you give it back.  Period.  So… Ron Paul is a nutjob fringe freak.  That makes that easy.

I won’t even talk about other republicans… except McCain.

McCain is old, not PC, sort of crazy, sort of solid, a war hero, and he knows and bucks the system very well. He has been on both sides of war, and knows it sucks. We need someone that understands war and knows it sucks. I like him for many reasons… especially that he hasn’t played total partisan all the time… he is more of a watchdog of the Republicans, and I am fine with that. So that is our conservative front runner by default. The fact that he alienates his party and most don’t like him, … well I like that. But I think everyone knows: He would be slaughtered by Obama, and with Clinton it would be a very traditional, totally expected race.

Done with republican talk.

Let’s talk how Clinton is going to get destroyed? I dunnoo (I hate to sound gleeful, but she represents the status quo to the nth degree for me.)

Figure this:

People want change. If she wins, it means by the end of her first term we will have had **32 YEARS** of the same names in the White House (Bush since 1980, all the way through Clinton back to Bush to her…). 32 years is a long time, and she represents the tired, partisan, old school, twisted messed up form of politics. That works against her and for her….

No one knows if people will accept Obama. If he wins, the good old boy culture of the Congress might be a little jealous and stand offish, so in his current position he might not be able to get anything done. Being a figurehead for change is fine, as long as the people you need to work with allow you to work like that.

I think Clinton might be able to do *more* once in office, even if it is less than Obama would have liked to do. In the end, I think that she knows how to work and play the system, and will be able to grease the proper wheels to get the government running smoothly and efifciently, unlike Obama.

But I just cannot stand watching another slimey politician who plays by the rules climb up by playing the game right just to sit on top of the toadstool and smoke opium and not do anything at all. Okay that was a loose analogy, but she seems like a status quo, totally owned and totally “industry” player. She doesn’t interest me, when I see her talk it sounds like BS, and most of her campaign has been straight struggling to keep up with Obama.

Now to Obama:

Who is he? I didn’t know, but the more I research it is interesting.. he is a “heroic everyman”, has had hard times, comes from adversity.. but never plays it up. Anytime someone says anything, he says, “Yes, it was rough… just like it is for most people”. He really appeals to the masses like no one since Kennedy, frankly. I like my history, but Kennedy never seemed to be much more than a symbol, you know? But as a symbol he was powerful, he was classy (to the public of the time), and it was huge for the US’s image.

think about the world at large right now… how does American say that it has changed? How does it say, “We just got out of the most corrupt and disturbing leadership we have ever seen and we want to make right with the world…”. I used to think the only way to save image and save face was to elect Al Gore, the antithesis of Bush. But now I am thinking that people don’t even trust Gore the way they can trust a young Senator with a relatively good voting record.. or at least a lack of one to comment on.

But electing an intelligent, exuberant black gent that prostlytizes the entire US consituency? I mean… the majority of the planet is not white. Saying something like electing him is huge for our image. I am all about saving our image… and trying to get the world off our back. We need someone to resteer this corrupt roman empire right?

Also, he isn’t owned by anyone. The money he has made this month is ALL private donations… nothing like companies or what not.. just people. Who energizes donors like that? no one!!!

Now, he has got Caroline Kennedy suggesting he is like her father, and Ted Kennedy just backed him. Maria Shriver said that if Barack was any of the 50 states, he would be California. Now Edwards will come out after Super Tuesday and back Clinton, and the huge death toll to Clinton will be when Gore steps in and back Obama.

When Al Gore, who really dislikes Hillary, backs Obama, there will be no where for her to hide. I think that will solidfy his victory. It may come too late, but I am interested to see what he does for a running mate if he wins. Clinton and Barack have chatted about being on one another’s ticket, but I think Barack should do something wild like get Gore or something….

In the end, I don’t think Barack is the obvious choice. I am still wrestling. But I know I would vote Mccain before I voted Clinton. Which FREAKS ME OUT. As long as McCain keeps with the “states rights” line, I will consider him… but in the end, I think Barack fever has got me.

Again, I am a nuetral moderate skeptic, and don’t think voting for “hope” is a very smart idea…. but everything about Barack suggests that not only can he seem like a leader…. but I think he can be one.

Clinton is somebody, when elected, who will be doling out favours left and right to fill her cabinet and administration. I know that for a fact. I think Obama will surround himself with smart people. Period.

So whoever surrounds themselves with more smart people will usually get my vote, and right now, I am really surprised to say…

I think it’s Obama.

How’s that for an answer?
